Vision & Mission of IPC Department
The department of infection prevention & control is specialized in setting up all policies and procedures aiming to prevent the development and spread of microbial infections in healthcare environment, and the protection of patients and healthcare providers against infection risks.
The infection control team consists of a group of highly qualified doctors and nurses specialized in following up preventive measures, carrying out surveillance and statistics relating to hospital patient traffic and dealing with any outbreaks of infection in various hospital departments. The team also trains staff, of different categories, on standard precautions to prevent the transmission of microbes, updates information to control infection periodically, provides counseling services and deals with infection cases directly.
