The new oncology hospital was established with a capacity of 300 beds, bringing the total number of hospital beds to 400 beds. It is considered the largest specialized oncology hospital in the Middle East, designed according to international codes and equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic devices, in addition to a clinical pharmacy to include 20 tumor clinics.
The performance of radiotherapy oncology service is improved by adding a high-power and highly accurate linear accelerator (LINAC) in directing the treatment to the parts of the body affected by the tumor with the most doses while minimizing damage to healthy tissues.
The hospital includes (3) intensive care units.
Accurate tumor assessment is done by a positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, which made a major leap in the evaluation of tumor treatment.
